New New Age Dialogue

“I want to just run away.”

-Running away won’t solve your problems.

“I don’t want to ‘solve my problems’. Problems are a fuction of an illusion created in the paradigm of there being only ‘good’ or ‘bad’—paradigm of success and failure—of prescription for doing it ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. Problems are part of the paradigm.

-So…the paradigm is what you don’t want.

-So the paradigm is the problem.

“I guess so.”

-So in running away, you want to get out of the paradigm altogether.

“Yes. I want leave all that.”

-To what? If you leave the paradigm, what is there?

“I don’t know, but it must be better than this.”

-Oh…but ‘better’ is a function of the paradigm…So you’re still in it, if you seek something ‘better.’

“…Fuck you.”
